Marian Eileen Eshenko , 87, Velva, formerly of Minot and Berthold, died Thursday, August 31, 2023 in a Velva Nursing Care Center.
Marian was born October 30, 1935 in Berthold, ND the daughter of Earl and Mabel (Tegmeier) Brown. She was raised and educated at Berthold and graduated from Berthold High School in 1953. She was employed in Minot working as a waitress at Capri Restaurant and doing housekeeping work for several Minot area motels. She retired in 1998.
Marian was united in marriage to Morris Eshenko on December 17, 1965 in Minot. They lived in Minot throughout the years. He died February 22, 2010.
She became a resident of the Souris Valley Care Center, Velva in January 2023.
Marian had been a regular attendee of Vincent United Methodist Church in Minot. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, watching soap operas, and traveling, especially with Morris to area casinos. She loved spending time with her dogs: Misty and Benji.
Her loving family includes, her son, Jeffrey (Beverly) Brown, Valentine, NE and their daughter, Camilla; stepson, David (Sandy) Eshenko, Fargo and their children, Travis, Joshua, Ashley and Adam; daughter, Julie Howe of Bismarck, ND and her children, Tyler, Eric & Caitlin; great grandchildren, Paul, Naomi, Prophet, Zhaveya, Tyler, Jaden, Rayne & Brekken; sister, Vivian Keyes; sisters in law, Linda Brown & Rosie Brown; several nieces and a nephew.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, husband of nearly 45 years, Morris, infant brother Gerald and brothers, Earl Francis, Harold, Willard and Howard Brown.
Celebration of Life Service:
Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in Vincent United Methodist Church, Minot.
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation:
Friday, September 8th from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
