Margie A. Trihub, 89, Minot, died March 23, 2016 in a Minot hospital.

Margie was born November 1, 1926, to Gilbert and Carrie (Runningen) Oas in Leaf Mountain Township of Burke County near Columbus, ND. She was educated in Leaf Mountain Township School and graduated from Columbus High School in 1944. She completed her education at Minot Business College.

Margie was united in marriage to Evan 'Smokey' Trihub on June 5, 1955 in Minot. She worked as a bookkeeper for Massy Harris Company followed by Border Freight Line for twenty-eight years until retiring in 1981. Following her husband's retirement in 1984, they spent winters in Mesa, AZ.

She was a member of the Minot Bowling Association, Amateur Trap Shooting Association and Central States Teamster Association. She attended Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot and was a member of Tonset Lutheran Church of Lignite, ND. Evan died on January 10, 2002.

Margie enjoyed traveling with Smokey in their RV to different trap shooting events around the country. Margie was known for her sense of humor and gift giving of handmade 'scrubbies,' baby caps and stocking hats all made by her hand and known to number into the hundreds to friends and family. She will be missed by all who shared in her life.

Her surviving family includes twenty-three nieces and nephews.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Evan 'Smokey' Trihub, sisters, Ardis & Irene Oas, Ina Bakken, and Colleen Lee; brothers, Norman, Chester, George, Orien and Lawrence Oas and brothers-in-law, Thomas Bakken and Clifford Lee.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Tonset Historical Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Lignite, ND.
Memorials are preferred to the Cancer or Heart Association.
