Margie Sivertson, 80, Minot and formerly of Bottineau died on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in a Minot nursing home with her loving family at her side.

Margie Carolyn Sivertson was born on January 1, 1940 in Eagle Butte, SD to Louis and Gertrude (Sciford) Martin.  She was raised and educated in Eagle Butte until 1955.  Margie was once married to Dee Hornback.  They made their home in New Castle WY and were the parents of David, Debra, Duane and Darel.

Margie married Gaylan Sivertson on July 15, 1970 in Sturgis, SD.  They made their home in Sturgis prior to moving to Westhope in 1976 and Bottineau in 1978.  They were the proud parents of Shelly and Scott.  Margie was the custodian/cleaning lady for St. Andrews Catholic Church for 36 years.  Also, she was employed as a housekeeper for several families and caretaker for several individuals in Bottineau.  Gaylan died on July 21, 2015.  Margie moved to Minot in 2015 and had resided at Trinity Homes.

Margie was a member of First Lutheran Church - Bottineau and especially enjoyed fishing, traveling to South Dakota to visit family and an occasional trip to the casino.

Margie is survived by her children:  David (Susan) Hornback of Moses Lake WA, Debra Poarch of Van Wert Ohio, Duane Hornback of Fort Collins CO, Shelly (Randy) Swearson of Minot and Scott (Karla) Sivertson of Minot; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings:  Wayne  (Gertrude) Martin of Custer SD, Avin (Joann) Martin of Piedmont SD, Lynn (Larry) Miles of Albuquerque NM; sisters-in-law: Delia Martin of Albuquerque and Irene Sivertson of Arizona and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Darel Hornback, siblings:  Florence Miller, Harvey Martin, Darlene LeBeau and Kenneth Martin and her beloved dog of 19 years Andy.

Celebration of Life:  Summer of 2021.

Interment will be at the Lesje Cemetery - rural Souris, ND.
