Margareta Mueller Zilli , 82, Minot, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in her home.

Margareta was born February 23, 1926 in Neustadt b.Coberg, Germany the youngest of thirteen children to Otto and Klara (Schellhorne) Mueller. She was raised in Neustadt and married Edward Zilli on December 8th, 1947, in Neustadt.

They made their home in Neustadt where their first child, Miriam, was born. In 1953, they moved to Long Island, New York, where they established a home in Bay Shore.T

Their second child, Marjorie, was born there. Margareta worked as the head cook for the Brentwood Public School District for twenty years. She and Ed retired to Spring Hill, Florida in 1982, where they remained until moving to Minot in 2005.

Margareta loved to dance the polka, fish, travel, cook, knit, and do needle-point.

Her loving family includes : Husband of sixty years: Ed, Minot; Daughters: Margie (Ted) Bolton, Minot; Miriam (George) Grafer, Shoreham, NY, Grandchildren: George (Nahla), Edward (Pam), Elizabeth, Matthew (Liz), Joshua (Danni), Naomi, John, Sarah, Rebekah, and Eddie, Seven Great-Grandchildren, Nieces: Marga Ewing and Ranate Harris and Nephew: Erich Konig.

Margareta was preceded in death by her parents and twelve brothers and sisters: Paula, Erna, Frieda, Helena, Armin, Martha, Anna, Irmgard, Arno, Teodor, Alma, and Else.

Celebration of Life Service : Monday, April 14, 2008 - 11:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation : Sunday from Noon-5:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
