Mabel Zalomsky, 95, Butte, ND, died Friday, May 21, 2010 in a Minot Hospital.

Mabel was born December 25, 1914 at Butte, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Kohanes) Yecoshenko. She was raised and educated in Butte and graduated from Butte High School. Mabel worked at the Campbell's Soup Company in Chicago for several years prior to her marriage to Edward Zalomsky on November 25, 1944.

They made their home on a farm South of Butte, where they farmed for a number of years until Edward's death on October 23, 1996. Mabel moved into Butte in 1997, where she continued to live until her death.

Mabel was a former member of the Butte Assembly of God Church, which was started by her father. After the Church closed, she attended the Kief Baptist Church. She was an active member of her church and taught Sunday school to both adults and children. She enjoyed living and sharing the message of salvation and God's love. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and spending time with her granddaughter and great-grandchildren.

Mabel's loving family includes: son, Earl (Nancy) Zalomsky, Butte; granddaughter, Jolene (Allen) Nechiporenko, Butte; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Natalie; sister, Gladys Eisenrich, Butte; sisters-in-laws, Ruth Yecoshenko, Butte and Lydia Yecoshenko, Minot.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Ella & Emma, brothers, Ed, Sam, William, Walter and Melvin.

Funeral service : Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.in the Butte American Legion Hall, Butte.
Interment: Butte Community Cemetery, Butte, ND
Visitation : Tuesday from 2:00-7:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot
Memorials are preferred to the Butte Cemetery or Kief Baptist Church.
