Maari Beth Gudmunson, 29, passed away in Carlsbad, CA on April 26, 2019. She was born on July 13, 1989 in Minot, ND to her loving parents, Sheldon and JoAnn Gudmunson.

She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church. She graduated from Minot High School in 2008 and received a bachelor's degree in Corporate Fitness from Minot State in 2013. Following her college years, she spent time in Minneapolis before moving to Carlsbad, CA to continue to work on her life's journey in the sunshine she loved so much.

In California, she courageously worked on her sobriety and had just recently passed her two-year milestone. Maari was a loving mama to her two fur-babies, Barkli and Lola. She loved spending time walking her dogs in the California sunshine.

She was a dear "Auntie M" to her two adoring nieces and enjoyed reliving childhood joys through their eyes. She has touched many hearts in her lifetime and will be missed by so many.

Maari is survived by: her parents, Sheldon and JoAnn Gudmunson (Minot). Her siblings, Gracia Pratt (Steve Pratt) and Andrew Gudmunson (McKenna Gudmunson), nieces Annalyse and Camille Pratt, and many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service was held in Carlsbad, CA on April 29, 2019. It was officiated by a dear family member, The Reverend Gloria Espeseth, bridge pastor of Carlton Hills Lutheran Church in Santee, CA.
