Lynn M. Schumacker, 64, Rugby, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in a Minot Hospital.
Lynn was born June 1, 1946, in Grand Rapids, MN, one of sixteen children to Leonard and Crystal (Thompson) Lindman. She was raised and educated in Hill City, MN, graduating from high school in 1964.
As a young adult she worked as a waitress at a local caf in Hill City and also took on the career of a truck driver. This life course led her to her soul mate, Melvin Schumacker, whom she married on September 24, 1971 at First Lutheran Church in Rugby, ND. They settled on a farm located northwest of Rugby, raising small grains and cattle. In addition to her duties as a farm wife and mother, Lynn worked as a waitress for the Hub Caf in Rugby for a number of years.
Lynn was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She was also a full-time grandmother, taking every opportunity to spend time with grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who shared her life and fondly remembered by her family.
Surviving family includes: loving husband, Melvin Schumacker, Rugby, ND; children, Michael Lindman, Fargo, ND, Gary Schumacker, Rugby, ND, Penny (Dan) Lawrence Wurgler, Balta, ND, Curttis Schumacker, Bismarck, ND, Cory Schumacker, Rugby, ND, and Lori Schumacker, Floodwood, MN; 17 Grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Karen (Ray) Klennert, Swatera MN, Carmen (Russell) Jensen, Blue Earth, MN, Linda Bosteder, Rogers, AR, Diane (Chuck) Higgins, Lakeville, MN, Carol (Steve) Dordahl, Grasston, MN, Norma (Dave) Brehm, North Branch, MN and Cindy (Pete) Larson, Grand Forks, ND; brothers, Leonard (Julie) Lindman, Rush City, MN, Gene Lindman, Rogers, AR, Roger (Sue) Lindman, Rush City, MN, Darold (Stacy) Lindman, Siren, WI and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, 3 Sisters, Virginia, Betty Ann, and JoAnn and one brother, Richard.
