Obituary

Lynda J. Logan, 66, Minot, formerly of Lancaster and San Diego, CA died Thursday, January 19, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Lynda Jeannine Logan was born on February 1, 1950 in Council Bluffs, IA, the daughter of Wayne Simpson and Norma Jean (MacDonald) Walker. She was raised and educated in Council Bluffs, IA until her 7th grade year when they moved to Lancaster, CA. She graduated from Antelope High School in 1968.

Lynda was once married to Stan M. Logan. Three children were the result of their union.

Lynda moved from Lancaster, CA in 1989 and also resided in various places throughout Southern California. In addition to the duties of being a mother, she also worked in the Aerospace industry. In 2008 she moved to Minot, ND, where she was a manager of the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Thrift Store.

Lynda was a member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and Assembly of God Church, where she previously taught Sunday school and was actively involved in their youth groups.

Lynda enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and gardening. She was fascinated with birds and loved to study and watch them out her window. She had a special place in her heart for her dog Molly Jo and will be missed by all who shared in her life.

Lynda's loving family includes her daughter, Jany (James) Huston, Minot; grandchildren: Lonnie Jr., Kimryn, Noah, Meah, Isaiah, Zarah, Olivia, Sam and Gracee; grandboys of the heart, Mason and Devin; sisters, Barbara (Melvin) Harmon, Lancaster, CA and Cynthia (Roy) McNamee, Sebastopol, CA; honorary daughter, Amy Chavez, Miles City, MT; son-in-law, Lonnie Roybal; daughter-in-law, Brenda Logan; nieces, Christy and Jennifer Walker, Amy Burgos, Kari Haire, April Olvera and Amber Gentry; nephew, Robert England and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Simpson and Jean and Robert Walker; children, Stanley R. Logan and Kimberly Roybal; grandson, Joshua Helm; brother, Thomas (Wendy) Walker and niece, Jodie Harmon.

Celebration of Life Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorials are preferred.
