Obituary

Lydia Hall, 81, Minot, and former longtime owner-operator of Lydia's Caf, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, in a Minot Nursing Home.

Lydia was born January 15, 1930, at rural Mercer, North Dakota, the daughter of William and Cary (Hoffer) Manz. She was raised and educated in Sheridan County.

Lydia moved to Minot, where she worked at North Hill Bowling Alley and then managed Black Drug for a time. Lydia became owner-operator of Lydia's Caf in Northeast Minot. A business she operated for over forty years. She sold the business and retired in 2006.

Lydia had attended First Baptist Church, Minot.

Lydia's family includes : sister, Anna Walth of Fargo, ND and Eddie Manz, Minneapolis, MN; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harold and Walter Manz and sisters, Bertha Janz and Alice Burkhart.

Funeral service: Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Homes Chapel, Minot.
Interment : Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation : Tuesday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
