Lucinda Rose Landis-Jenny , 55, Minot, formerly of Orange County, CA, died Sunday, January 4, 2009, in her home.

Lucinda was born October 26, 1953, in Chicago, IL to John and Marcella Rose Landis. She was raised and educated in southern California. Following graduation she traveled the United States.

Cindy was once united in marriage to Dean Williams Dircks. This union was blessed with a daughter. They made their home in New Port Beach of Orange County, CA.

Cindy worked as a waitress/server in southern California at various restaurants. One of her fondest memories was an experience of serving a meal to the San Diego Chargers football team.

Cindy was once married to Terry Lynn Chavez Sr. This union was blessed with a son. They made their home in Hatch, NM.

Cindy met her soul mate, Ronald Wyatt of North Carolina in 1991. They lived in Kelly, N.C. for eight years.

Cindy moved to Minot, ND in 2000 to be nearer her loving family. She considered Minot the first place she called "second home." Her special interests included painting, drawing and music. She loved animals and traveling. She will be deeply missed by all who shared in her life.

Surviving family includes: Daughter: Christine (Kevin) McKinley, Minot; Son: Terry (Jason Miller) Chavez, Minot; Special and closest friend, Shawn Geiger, Minot; Grandchildren: Tricia, Katey and Meagan McKinley; Father: John (Olivia) Landis; Sisters: April Wille and MaryAnn Landis; Brother: Johnny Landis and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins;

Cindy was preceded in death by her forever beautiful mother, Marsela Rose Landis and her soul mate Ronald H. Wyatt.

Memorial Service: Thursday, January 8, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Thomas Family Funeral Home
Visitation: Family and friends are invited to sign a memorial guest register book one hour prior to the start of the service at the funeral home.
