Lucille Shambach, 72, 305 8th Ave. NE, Minot, died Sunday, August 13, 2006, in a Minot hospital.
Lucille Anderson was born May 17, 1934, in Stanley, ND, the daughter of Mons and Ellen (Walker) Anderson. She was raised and educated in Stanley. As a young adult, she was once married to Nyla Marmon. This union was blessed with two children, Ellen and Michael. In 1956, Lucille moved with her children to Minot.
Lucille was united in marriage to Kenneth Wolfe on September 4, 1956, in Minot. This union was blessed with three children, Kevin, Kathy, and Patty. Lucille and her family made their home in various locations across the west and southwest United States, where she would gain employment as a waitress for a number of years.
In 1982, she moved back to Minot to be with her three daughters, who were carrying three daughters of their own. Lucille soon took employment with the Sheraton Riverside Hotel of Minot, where she worked various jobs in the banquet room for numerous years until her health failed and she was forced to retire.
Lucille entered Trinity Nursing Home of Minot on April 9, 1999. Kenneth died on October 11, 2001. Although it was a lifestyle change, Lucille adapted quickly and welcomed all the activities of the nursing home. She enjoyed playing bingo, participating in Bible readings, doing arts and crafts, with a special interest in ceramic dolls and going out monthly for dinner outings in Minot. Lucille loved to participate in the Kid's Connection Activities and was affectionately referred to as "Grandma Lucy."
Lucille, surrounded by family and many friends, married Gordon Shambach on June 16, 2005, at Trinity Nursing Home in Minot. Together, they have lived there and have been a staple in everyday life at Trinity Homes over the last couple of years. She will be deeply missed by all who shared in her life.
She is survived by: Husband: Gordon Shambach - Minot; Daughters: Patty (Cordell) Poleschook - Max, Ellen (Ted Bristol) Culbertson - Minot, and Kathy Ayala - Minot; Sons: Mickael (Donna) Marmon - Tempe, AZ and Kevin (Debbie) Wolfe - Mandan, ND; Grandchildren: Jennifer (George) Taylor, Joann and Matthew Poleschook; Chad Reinhardt; Alan Marmon, Danielle Reinhardt, Tiffeny Debus, Joshua and Cassondra Ayala; Holly Sanger; Joseph, Mickael Jr., and Elizabeth Marmon; Laura and Dawn Chiles, and Roy Wolfe; Great Grandchildren: Nicholas Taylor, Gavin Reinhardt, Gabriella and Ashton Reinhardt; Skyler and Cameron Debus; and Taleah Sanger; Sisters: Mary (Lupe) Gonzales, Columbus, MT, Alice Evans, Phoenix, AZ, and Donna Paulson, Miles City, MT; and Brothers: Arnie (Phyllis) Anderson, Illinois., and Earl (Harriet) Anderson, Georgia and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth, and brothers, Donny, Alan, and Elmer Anderson.
