Lucille Louise Hyland, 90, Minot and formerly of Upham died on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in a Minot healthcare center.

Lucille was born on December 5, 1924 in Upham, ND to Paul and Bertha (Will) Rosenau. She was reared and educated in Upham and graduated from Upham High School in 1943. As a young adult she was employed at Ellison's Department Store in Minot.

Lucille married DuVane "Zeke" Hyland on March 24, 1949 in Minot. They made their home in Minot where they were the proud parents of two daughters.

DuVane "Zeke" died on March 28, 1997. Lucille had continued to make her home in Minot most recently at Manorcare.

Lucille was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was active in its Lutheran Women's Missionary league (LWML) and a church circle. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and enjoyed baking and gardening especially flowers.

Lucille's loving family includes her daughters: Susan Boen of Burlington and Surprise, AZ and Diana (Herb) Mester of White Bear Lake, MN; two grandchildren: Heidy (Joe) Hupf and Brad Boen all of Minot; three great grandchildren: Ethan, Piper and Sofie and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons-in-law: David Boen and Chris Weber; sisters: Gertrude, Olga, Doris, Ella and Leila and brothers: Erick and Bruno.

Celebration of the Life of Lucille Hyland: Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Minot.
Visitation: Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot.
Memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Minot or the Magic City Youth Baseball Program.
