Louise Virginia "Britton" Swenson, 96, Minot, formerly of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in her home at Edgewood Vista.

Louise was born on July 24, 1923 in Superior, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lloyd and Fern (Armstrong) Britton.   She was raised and educated in Superior and graduated from Superior High School in 1941.   During her younger years, she was employed in Superior and Wausau in retail sales and began training as a pharmacy technician in Washburn, Wisconsin.

Louise was united in marriage to Veo Swenson on 13 Aug 1949 in Wausa, WI.   She was employed as a pharmacy technician in hospitals in Washburn and Rhinelander, WI.    Veo died in 1978.  She moved to Florida in 1996 and was employed at a pharmaceutical packing company in Clearwater, FL, until retiring in 1998.   She moved to Minot in 2015 to be nearer her son, Greg and his family.

Louise was a member of the Lutheran Faith and had enjoyed painting throughout the years.

She is survived by: her son, Greg (Karen) Swenson; 5 grandchildren to include, Nicholes, Mandy, Rachel, Amanda and Joey; 3 great-grandchildren, Kolton, Pyper Jo, and Cali; sisters, Nancy (Dick) Laws, Arizona; several nieces nephews and cousins.

Louise is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 29 years, Veo; son, Gary; sisters, Patricia Gloria and Frances and a brother, Robert.

Public Prayer Service : Friday, October 4, 2019 at 6:30p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot with Pastor Martha Harrison Officiating.
A Graveside service will take place at Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander, Wisconsin in late October of 2019 weather permitting.
Visitation: At her request there will not be a viewing, however friends may sign the memorial register book on Friday, October 4 ^th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
