Obituary

Louise Jablonsky Schock, 78, Minot and formerly of Dickinson, died on Saturday, July 18, 2020 in her home from natural causes.

Louise Ann was born on February 1, 1942 in Dickinson to Philip and Mary (Ficek) Jablonsky. She was raised in the New Hradec area, attended Sts. Peter and Paul Elementary School in New Hradec and graduated from Dickinson High School.

Following graduation, she moved to Bismarck, worked various jobs and met the love of her life Reuben "Sam" Schock. They were united in marriage on June 22, 1963 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bismarck. From this union, two sons were born: Dodd and Denley. The family made their home in Beulah for two years and then moved to Minot when Sam became the statewide salesman for General Trading Company. Most recently, they had resided at the Dakota Terrace Apartment Complex. Sam died on February 8, 2017.

Louise was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and friends.

Louise is survived by her son, Dodd (Kathy) Schock, West Warwick, RI; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Schock, Lakewood, CO; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Billy, Nikki  and Tommy; great-grandchildren, Bronc and Kaine; siblings, Betty Kudrna, Dickinson, Richard (Donna) Jablonsky, Dickinson, Elaine (Pat) Wanner, Dickinson; in-laws: Jeanette Jablonsky, Dona Jablonsky and Bob Christensen and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Reuben 'Sam' Schock; parents; son, Denley; brothers: George and Steve Jablonsky; sisters: Mary Kostelecky and Charlene Christensen and brothers-in-law: George Kostelecky and George Kudrna.

Liturgy of the Word Service:  Friday, July 31, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church- Minot.  A livestream of the service will also be available by accessing https://www.mtmsales.net/thomas
Interment:  Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Visitation:  Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
