Obituary

Lorraine Lennick, 75, Minot, formerly of the Golden Valley area, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 in a Minot Hospital.

Lorraine was born May 23, 1932 on the family farm near Golden Valley, North Dakota, the daughter of John W. and Emma (Bunk) Flemmer. She was raised and educated in the Golden Valley area.

Lorraine was united in marriage to Clarence E. Lennick on December 22, 1953 at Glen Ullin. They lived in Beulah for a time, while he was employed with the Farmers Union Company. They moved to Minot in 1964. Lorraine was employed for several years with St. Joseph's Hospital as a nurse's aide, and with Northwest Clinic in the housekeeping department.

Lorraine babysat for a number of families in the Minot area throughout the years. Clarence died December 21, 2002. Lorraine had attended First Assembly of God Church in Minot for many years. She enjoyed going to church functions and helping out when needed.

She enjoyed spending time outdoors caring for her garden and taking long walks. She loved spending time with and took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great grandchild with whom she shared a birthday.

Lorraine touched so many with her kindness and caring ways. We were so blessed to have her in our lives. She will be deeply missed, but live forever in our hearts.

Her loving family includes : Children: Cathy (Ray) Coleman, Minot, Caren (Kerwin) Kitzan, Fargo, Delaine (David) Strandlien, Minot, Duane Lennick, Cedar Rapids, IA and Kenneth Lennick, Aurora, CO; Grandchildren: Jeremy (Kristy) Coleman, Justin and Josh Coleman, Kristopher, Kella and Karissa Kitzan; Bethanie, Ashley and Cody Strandlien; One Great Grandchild: Lynden Ray Coleman; Sisters: Charlotte Wichmann, Fargo, ND and Evelyn Krein, Bismarck, ND; Half-brothers: Leonard Flemmer and John Flemmer, both of Golden Valley, ND.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Jason Coleman, brother: Clayton and half-sisters: Shirley Biffert and Maryland Flemmer.

Funeral service : Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 2:00p.m. in First Assembly of God Church, Minot
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation:
Monday from 2:00-7:00pm in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
