Lonna Kay Huwe Tinin, age 37, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011, at a Shreveport Louisiana hospital.

Lonna was born on June 26, 1973, in Minot, ND, to Kenneth and Betty (Derheim) Huwe. She was raised in Minot and attended Nedrose Elementary and Minot High School. Lonna grew up helping with the family business (Huwe The House Mover) where she became comfortable operating heavy equipment. This led to employment in the pipeline laying industry.

Lonna married Charles Tinin on December 21, 1992. They made their home wherever pipelines were being laid. Most recently, she was employed by Striker Pipeline Company in the Shreveport, Louisiana area and specialized in operating precision pipe-bending equipment.

Lonna was a member of Minot First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle and loved her dogs and riding horse.

Lonna's loving family includes her husband, Charlie; daughter, Frosten of Tuscaloosa, AL; step-son, Micheal Tinin of CO; parents, Ken and Betty Huwe of Minot, ND; brother, Kevin (Eve) Huwe of Minot, ND; sisters, Pamela (Juan) Sagastegui of San Clemente, CA and Karla (Kyle) Snow of Westerville, OH; nieces and nephews, Kristen, Annie, Jennie, Travis, Daylen, Kyla, and Kate; and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Lonna was preceded in death by her grandparents.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Minot First Assembly of God Church.
Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Minot.
Visitation hours on Thursday will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
