Obituary

Lois Lannoye was born January 20, 1928, in Churchs Ferry, ND, the daughter of John and Irene (Dingman) Nord. She graduated from Churchs Ferry High School in 1945.

Lois was united in marriage to Donald Lannoye in Devils Lake, ND on February 9, 1947. They made their home in Pleasant Lake, ND until June 1953, when Don's job took them to Souris, ND. They left Souris in 1975 and moved to Crookston, MN. Later, they moved to Grand Forks, ND until settling in Minot, ND in December 1979.

Lois was a caring mother and wife. Her home was always open to young and old alike. Although she was always busy with various church and community activities, she always had time for a game of cards or a cup of coffee.

Lois was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minot and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its women's association in Souris, ND. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, sewing and reading.

Surviving family includes: Husband of 63 years, Donald; Daughters, Connie Bachmeier and her children, Duane (Deanna) and their daughter, Amanda, Renee Christianson (Noe) and her children, Cody, Parker and Haylee, Brent Bachmeier and his children, Jerzee and Jericha; Karen (Lorin) Dvirnak and their children, Lori (Martin) Lundblad and their children, Micah and Benjamin, Juanita (Jon-Paul) Steenbakkers and their children, Nadia and Lucas; Son, William "Bill" (Marce) and their son, Donald; Sister, Alice Johanson, Devils Lake, ND; Brothers, Lyder Nord, Minot, ND, Victor (Doreen) Nord, Red Lake Falls, MN; Sister-in-Law, Joyce Nord, Devils Lake, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, James, granddaughter, Michelle Morlock, brothers, Sidney and Marvin Nord, sisters-in-law, Inger and Gloria Nord and brother-in-law, Harfred Johanson.

Funeral service: Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot, ND
Interment: Churchs Ferry Cemetery, Churchs Ferry, ND
Visitation: Friday, April 16, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: Memorials received will be given to Churchs Ferry Cemetery.
