Lois Jean Kankovsky , 71, Minot, died Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at her home.

Lois was born on December 20, 1952 at Yankton, South Dakota, the daughter of Loren and Darline (Hoss) Schiele. She moved with her family to Minot during her younger years, where she was raised and educated.

Throughout the years, Lois was happiest caring for her children: Christopher, Edward, Damion, Natalie, Winston, Marcus and Darlena. In more recent years, she loved to dote on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her loving family includes: children, Christopher Kankovsky, Indianapolis, IN; Edward (Wendy Skar) Hopkins, Minot, Damion (Cindy Rinehart) Hopkins, Arizona, Natalie Wells, Minot, Winston Daisley, Minot, Marcus Shaw, Minot and Darlena Enno, Minot. 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Patricia Wolf, Sacramento, CA, Fred Schiele, Sacramento, CA, Donna (Glenn) Ardrey, Williamsport, PA, Julie Ferrell, Sacramento, CA, Brenda (Eugene) Schrecongost, Williamsport, PA and Joline (Anthony) Anstead, Summerville, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Peggy St. Claire.

Public Gathering: Friday, August 16, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
