Obituary

Lois Ann Jenkins, 63, Maxbass, ND, and formerly of Leavenworth, KS, died Friday, September 16, 2011 in a Minot, ND Hospital.

Lois was born November 21, 1947 at Leavenworth, Kansas, the daughter of Marion and Lura (Taylor) Mark. She was raised and educated at Leavenworth and graduated from high school there in 1965. During her younger years she was employed at St. John's Hospital in Leavenworth.

In 1971, she met Arnold Jenkins and they were married January 22, 1972. They both entered into active duty with the United States Air Force, where throughout the years they served for over 21 years in Okinawa, Japan, New Mexico, Illinois, North Carolina, Korea, Utah and Germany, until retiring in 1992. Lois was actively involved in medical logistics at many of the bases she worked at.

After receiving her honorable discharge, they returned to the United State and made their home at Sunset, Utah, until moving to Maxbass, ND, to live nearer their daughter, Paula and family in Sherwood.

Lois loved to play board games, especially Pogo and Frontierville. She also enjoyed making monkscloth blankets and items out of plastic canvas.

Her loving family includes : husband of over thirty-nine years, Arnold, children, Paula (Jason) Genareo, Sherwood, ND, Susan (Paul) Winterton, Sunset, UT, Kevin (Holly) Jenkins, Denver, CO; grandchildren, Myranda Whiteside, Taylor Jenkins, Alexis & Gianna Genareo, Sara Winterton, Kyle & Max Jenkins; brother, David (Barbara) Mark, Shawnee, KS, sisters, Gayle (Mike) Hadock, Leavenworth, KS, Brenda (Ed) Pierce, Sunrise Beach, MO; several nieces & nephews, and great nieces & great-nephews.

Funeral service : Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home, Roy, UT.
Interment: Evergreen Memorial Park, Ogden, Utah.
Visitation: Wednesday, September 21st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Myers Funeral Home, Roy, Utah.
