Obituary

Liz Christianson, 55, Minot, died Sunday, July 26, 2020 in her home.

Liz was born on January 17, 1965 in Fargo ND, daughter of Howard and Barb Fjeld (Schieve).

She was raised and educated in Burlington graduating from Des Lacs Burlington in 1983. Following graduation she married, shortly after she was blessed with the birth of her son. They moved to Oregon with then husband and she was blessed with her daughter. They lived there for a brief time before she and her two children moved back to Minot. She was employed at her mother's restaurant located in the bowling alley where she met the love of her life Wade Christianson.  They were married on December 23, 1994 and made their home in NW Minot and grew their family with two more kids. Liz worked for Food Management Investors (FMI). In January, she had just received her 25 years of service. FMI was more than a job to Liz, they were part of the family.

Liz was a strong, hardworking and fiercely dedicated woman in all aspects of her life. Some of her accomplishments started at the young age of 12 where she won numerous awards and medals for her rifle shooting abilities including ND State Champion Sub-Junior Small Bore at age 14. She was involved with many sports in high school including drill team, basketball and track where she excelled. Liz was a member of a bowling league with her mother and grandmother in which they attended weekly league nights and won many tournaments.

There was no denying her love and passion for horses. On any given day, after work, you would find her out in the pasture or down in the barn. The barn was her heaven here on earth. She was a member of Minot Trail Riders for 20 plus years where she served as a board member and President for the last 6 years.  She attended many horse shows and events with her horse family. Her love for horses will live on through her daughters, grandkids and the village.
