Mrs. Linda Ethel Wolf , 70, Minot, died Saturday, October 25, 2014, at home in the care of Trinity Hospice from pancreatic cancer.
Linda was born January 31, 1944, in Minot, North Dakota to Herbert and Bernice (Leaths) Yuly. She graduated from Minot High School in 1962. Linda married Clinton Wolf and the couple resided in Long Beach, California, until 1966. They returned to Minot where they made their home during Clinton's long career in Law Enforcement.
She worked for many years as a receptionist at Econo Motel. For 25 years she had a successful home craft business, Wolf's Woods, with her husband. Together they traveled around the state to many shows featuring their specialty hand-made items. She was a long time promoter for the popular Christmas Craft Show at the International Inn in Minot.
Linda was a life-long gardener. She looked forward to the fall when she spent time canning dill pickles and mixing up batches of salsa. She loved spending time in her yard planting and watering her many beautiful flowers.
Linda excelled at knitting and sewing. During the winter, she made quilts and slippers for her many friends and family members. She had a love for cooking and baking, which she gladly shared with others. Collecting and trying out new recipes was a favorite pastime of hers. At the Thanksgiving table, there was always plenty of her fresh Lefsa to go around. She especially liked Christmas time when she filled goody trays with her delicious bars, fudge, and divinity.
Linda was a faithful member of St. John's Catholic Church, and she was a volunteer at the Trinity Nursing Home in Minot. She looked forward to her trips with Clint to the Four Bears Casino in New Town. She was always ready for a game of Scrabble or a card game of Nickels. What Linda loved the most were her grandchildren, who brought her much joy and happiness through the years. She will be remembered as a caring and giving friend to all.
Her loving family includes her husband of 53 years, Clint; children: Mark (Gardi) Wolf of San Diego, CA, and Natalie (James) Boe of Valley City, ND; brother Curt Yuly, Minot, ND; grandchildren, Heather Wolf (Randy Gillenwater), Brittany Wolf, Cody Wolf, Ashley Boe, Sophia Boe, great grandchildren, Anthony, Aubrey, and Aynsley Gillenwater.
