Linda L. Spear , 62, Minot, formerly of Mott, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 in a Minot Hospital.

Linda was born December 4, 1948 at Elgin, ND, the daughter of George and Ruth (Heth) Klein. She was raised and educated at Mott and graduated from Mott High School in 1966. She worked at the Halvorson Super Valu in Mott for several years prior to moving to Minot in 1975.

After moving to Minot, she was employed at the Tempo Department Store and at Wendy's before she was united in marriage to Merle Spear on October 7, 1978 at Mott. They made their home in Minot throughout the years, where she worked for Target Stores for more than 27 years. She retired due to ill health.

Linda was a member of Bread of Life Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and word searches, along with tending to her garden.

Her loving family includes , husband, Merle of Minot, sisters, Arlene (Don) Rose, New England, ND, Rozella Miller, Mandan, ND, Elaine (Jerome) Luke, Mott, ND, Sharon Zimmerman, Mandan, ND; brothers, Raymond Klein, Mott, ND, George (Sandy) Klein, Miles City, MT; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Noreen (Jeff) Rameden, Minot, Maxine (Larry) Kremer, Stanton, ND, Stanley (Linda) Spear, Gravois Mills, MO, Jerry (Margo) Spear, Drake, ND; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Donald and Gary Klein.

Funeral service : Friday, August 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment : Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation : Thursday from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
