Celebration of the Life of Linda Miller: Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Velva Senior Citizens Center located at 122 Main Street, Velva.
Linda Miller, 73, Velva died on Friday, April 2, 2021 in a Minot hospital.
Linda Lucille Miller was born on July 19, 1947 in Minot to Glenn and Lucille (Simon) Miller. She was raised on a farm south of Velva and in Velva and graduated from Velva High School in 1965. She continued her education at Minot State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education (High School) and Business in 1970. She taught in Anaconda, MT prior to moving to Unalaska, Alaska where she taught P.E. and was the advisor to the D.E.C.A. Club. Upon her retirement from teaching, she returned to Velva.
Linda was a member of Oak Valley Lutheran Church – Velva and several education associations. She especially enjoyed gambling with her sister Dorothy, genealogy, rock polishing, jewelry making and making Aliut Ceremonial Headdresses.
Linda's loving family includes her sister: Dorothy (Jerry) Kittelson of Velva; brother: Duane (Bonnie) Miller of Sun City AZ; in-laws: Sybil Miller of Rio Vista CA, Danna Pettigrew of Nampa ID and Cynthia David of Bismarck ND and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Edith (Donald) Peterson, Fern (Howard) Brekhus, Richard Miller, Donald (Angie) Miller, Robert Miller, nephew: Cary Kittelson and niece: Mary Brekhus.
Celebration of the Life of Linda Miller: Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Velva Senior Citizens Center located at 122 Main Street, Velva.
It was Linda's wish that there be no service. Cremation has taken place.
Interment: Velva Community Cemetery
Memorials are preferred and may be mailed to 304 South Main St. – Minot, ND 58701.
