Linda Liebelt, age 98, from Sawyer, North Dakota, died Monday, January 1, 2018.

Linda was born May 26, 1919, in Pony Gulch Township of Wells County, near Harvey, North Dakota to Charles and Caroline (Seibel) Faul.

Linda was united in marriage to Arthur Liebelt on April 29, 1945 in the Mennonite Brethren Church of rural Harvey, ND. They made their home in Sawyer Township south of Sawyer, ND for the next 39 years. Shortly after they were married, they became members of the Sawyer Mennonite Brethren Church, serving in many capacities and continued serving even after the Sawyer Mennonite Brethren Church joined with the Bible Fellowship Church in Minot.

They moved into the city of Sawyer in 1983 but they still continued farming, finally retiring in 1988. They lived together in their home in Sawyer until Arthur passed away and then Linda continued living in her house until she settled into the ProHealth Home Care Assisted Living Facility. Her family would like to thank Judy and her staff for the wonderful care that she received there.

Linda's surviving family includes her children, Ken (Sharon) Liebelt, Shawnee, KS, Myron (Ruth) Liebelt, Reedley, CA, LaVonne (Allan) Krahn, Wichita, KS, and Jay (Jennifer) Liebelt, Sawyer, ND; grandchildren, Kelvin (Lisa) Liebelt, Kerri (Jamie) DeBussey, Dawn Hagopian, Ryan (Mindy) Liebelt, Aaron Krahn, Brandon (Chanae) Krahn, LaBri (Brent) Borthistle, Beau Liebelt, Whitney (Jose) Villalobos and Skyler Liebelt; great-grandchildren, Christopher Bridges, Cassandra Bridges, Alex Liebelt, Emma Liebelt, Conner McFall, Kari Krahn, Kadin Liebelt, and Kannon Liebelt; siblings, Bennie (Helen) Faul, Helen Fadenrecht and LeRoy Faul, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur and siblings, Artvin, Tony, Leander, Loretta, Gideon, Alyce, Robert, Carolyn, John, JoAnn, Hilda, Florence, and Lawrence.

Celebration of Life Service: 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018, at Bible Fellowship Church, Minot.
Interment: Sawyer Mennonite Brethren Cemetery, rural Sawyer, ND.
Visitation: Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials: Bible Fellowship Church.
