Linda Kathryn Hill, 61, Minot and formerly of Powers Lake and Williston, died on Friday, May 31, 2013 in a Minot hospital from a stroke.

Linda was born on February 21, 1952 in Powers Lake to Melvin and Inez (Lundgren) Titus. She was reared and educated in Powers Lake, graduated from Powers Lake High School in 1970 and received her L.P.N certification from UND -Williston in 1972. As a young adult, she was employed at Mercy Hospital in Williston where she met Michael Hill, a young respiratory therapist in training.

Linda married Michael Hill on June 27, 1973 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Powers Lake. They made their home in Williston for twelve years where Linda was a fulltime wife, mother and homemaker and part time daycare provider. The family lived in Lisbon, ND for a short time before they moved to Minot in 1986 where Linda was employed by Good Shepherd Daycare for more than twenty years and operated a private daycare for three years.

Linda was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church - Minot and especially enjoyed her flower gardens, yard work, cooking and baking and caring for her pets. Linda was a people person who had a caregivers spirit and put everyone else first. She was the glue that held her family and neighborhood together by providing fresh baked goods and special caring attention to those in need. She had a profound love for children and loved and cared for all of her daycare family.

Linda's loving family includes her husband of 40 years Michael; children: Reverend Jason (Karen) Hill of Oregon, WI and Jenny (SSgt USAF Christopher) Rast of Rapid City SD; grandchildren: Collin, Andrew and Emma Hill, Jacob Rast; siblings: Eliene (George) Kupser of Surrey, Roger (Jan) Titus of Burnsville MN, Barbara Zeltinger of Minot, Laurie Titus of Duluth MN, Lee (JoAnn) Titus of Powers Lake; father- and mother-in-law: Sedgefield MSgt USAF (Ret.) and Wilda Hill of Bellevue NE and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law: Allen Zeltinger.

Celebration of the Life of Linda Hill: Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church - Minot.
Interment will follow at Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Visitation: Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Memorials are preferred to an education fund for Linda's grandchildren.
