Lilly C. Heller , rural Blaisdell, died Sunday, December 10, 2006, at her residence.
Lilly was born March 31, 1928, at McKinley Township, Ward County, the daughter of Olaf and Borghild (Nelson) Moen. She was raised south of Minot, and educated at country schools in Sundre Township and Bell School District, prior to graduating from Minot High School in 1946.
Lilly was employed at Slorby Studio and Trinity Hospital in Minot and then at Berthold Central Office for one year. She taught at rural schools near Velva, Carpio and Des Lacs, ND. She was once married to Rienholt Heller. She made her home in rural Berthold and rural Ray, before moving to a farmstead near Blaisdell in McAlmond Township for the past 51 years.
Lilly was active in the Shell Creek Lutheran Church Sunday School. She was active in the county Farmer's Union, where she served as local secretary. She had also served as a past president of her local PTA chapter.
Her loving family includes: Children: Renita Arneson, Minot, Ronald (Jody) Heller, Kauai, HA, Renee (Rick) Trulson, Idaho Falls, ID, Leslie (Joy) Heller, Blaisdell, ND, Leland (Marie) Heller, Cartwright, ND, Ramona (Dennis) Johnson, Williston, ND, Michael (Cynthia) Frojen, Thornton, CO; Ten Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Olga Heller, Minot, Berliot Munson, Minot, Ida (Joy) Heller, Berthold, Florence (Hugh) Kennedy, Cheyenne, WY, Esther (Jim) Lemons, Klawock, AK; Brothers: Melvin (Veronica) Moen, Riverton, WY, Arne Moen, Coram, MT.
Lilly was preceded in death by her parents, son in law: Creel Arneson, sisters: Evelyn Grabow and Ella Henrickson and brothers: Herbert and George.
Service
: Private Family service by invitation at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation:
At Lilly's request, there will be no reviewal, however friends may sign a memorial register book Wednesday from noon - 5 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home.
Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army.
