Lillie R. Bounting, 86, Minot, formerly of Powers Lake and Stanley, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in a Minot hospital.

Lillie Lundgren was born November 8, 1921, in Lostwood, ND, to Charles and Tina (Thorvig) Lundgren. She was raised and educated in Lostwood, ND.

Lillie was united in marriage to Roy Titus on June 29, 1946. They made their home on a farm near Powers Lake, where they raised their five daughters. They moved into Powers Lake in 1967, where she was employed as a cook at the hospital for a number of years until moving to Stanley. Roy passed away in 1976.

Lillie married Alfred Bounting on May 16, 1984, in Minot, where they made their home. She was active in the Minot Baptist Church. Alfred died in 1991. Following his death, Lillie was employed at the Social Security Office as a Green Thumb Worker until her retirement in 1998.

Lillie loved family and friends. Her hobbies included raising plants and sewing. Lillie was a very active member at the Minot Baptist Church of Minot.

Surviving family includes: Daughters: Jean (Kermit) Wink, Brainerd, MN, Rebecca Kostad, Minot, Darlene (Emilio) Compas, Billings, MT, Susan (Bill) Bingham, Mountain Home, AR, and Karen (Robert Dockter) Schoenberg, Bismarck, ND; Sixteen Grandchildren; Fifteen Great-Grandchildren; Sisters: Gladys Peterson, Santa Maria, CA, Eunice Titus, Mohall, ND, and Edna Footh, Stanley, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sister, Inez Titus, infant sister, Alice Lundgren, and brother, Maurice Lundgren.

Funeral: Monday, December 31, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. at the Minot Baptist Church, Minot, ND;
Interment: Fairview Cemetery, Stanley, ND
Visitation: Monday, one hour prior to the start of the funeral service at the church.
