Lillian S. Bolstad , 97, Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Norwich and Minot.
On July 2, 2007, Lillian passed through the valley of the shadow of death into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom she had faithfully served all her life.
Lillian was born July 4, 1909 to Even and Mathea Hestekind. She grew up on a farm in rural Norwich, ND. In 1934 she married Ernest Bolstad. They lived primarily in Norwich until 1964, when they moved to Minot, ND. Her three children, Ralph (Judy) Bolstad, Houston, TX, Jan (Mike) Aken, Seattle, WA and Nita (John) Howell, Springboro, OH, 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren survive her as does a sister, Gladys Frank, who resides in Minot, ND.
Her husband, parents, a brother, Orland Heskin and a sister, Elma Benell, preceded her in death.
Lillian was a faithful wife, loving mother and a caring, loving grandmother and great grandmother. She loved music and played the piano. The music she loved was music that praised her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. One of the cherished memories her children have of growing up is gathering around the piano after supper and singing while she played the piano. She was church organist and choir director at the Norwich Lutheran church in Norwich, ND for many years. She moved to Springboro, OH in 1995 to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Howell. The last four years of her life were spent at Bethany Village in Dayton, OH.
