LeRoy Perekrestenko, 72, Minot, formerly of Butte died on Friday, April 13, 2012 in a Minot hospital.

LeRoy was born on August 12, 1939 in Minot to George and Alvina (Pojorlie) Perekrestenko. He was reared and educated on the family farm in Dogden Township of McLean County near Butte, ND. He attended school in Butte and graduated from Minot High School in 1962. He continued his education at the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton where he received specialized training in welding.

He was employed in various custodial positions during his lifetime. LeRoy also worked in lawn care, landscaping and was a house painter.

LeRoy was a member of the Seventh day Adventist Church in Minot and was active in spreading God's message through literature distribution. He enjoyed reading and playing the trumpet.

LeRoy is survived by his mother Alvina; brothers: Duane Perekrestenko of Germany and Merel Perekrestenko of Minot and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Minot.
Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday, April 18, 2012, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the start of the service at the church.
