Leroy M. Lockwood, 57, Newtown, Passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in a Minot Hospital.

Leroy was born July 24, 1956 in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Leroy Sr. and Juliette (Starr) Lockwood. He was raised in Newtown and Minot and educated at Newtown schools. Leroy also attended schools in Wahpeton, North Dakota, Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota and Kicking Horse Job Corp in Montana. He moved with his family to California, where he lived until returning back to North Dakota.

Leroy had worked for fifteen years at Sherman Joslin Drywall, Co. in CA.

Leroy is survived by his children, Nancy Lockwood, Lana Lockwood Martinez, Laurie Williams, Leroy Jr. And Jessica Lockwood; four grandchildren; sisters, Loris Zuck, Douglas, ND, Lana Suarez of Hawaiian Gardens, CA, Lisa White Tail of Bismarck, ND, Leslie Lockwood, Newtown ND, Donna Lockwood, Newtown ND, Deborah Hinojosa of Newtown, ND; brother, Clayton Lockwood Sr, Newtown ND; a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Leroy was preceded in death by parents, Leroy Sr. and Juliette Lockwood, brothers, Mason, Bruce and a sister Lois.

Wake : Sunday August 4, 2013 at 5 pm in the Four Bears Community Center, Newtown.
Funeral Service: Monday, August 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Four Bears; (Johnny Bird) Community Center of Newtown ND.
Interment : Snowbird Cemetery, Rural Newtown, ND.
