LeRoy Lawson , 84, rural Minot, died Friday, January 10, 2020 in a Minot healthcare center.

LeRoy Duane Lawson was born July 6, 1935 in Minot to Henry and Ordella (Thoreson) Lawson. He was raised and educated in Afton Township through the eighth grade. Following his education LeRoy assisted his family on the farm.

LeRoy began employment in Minot with Voeller's Furniture in 1959 where he worked as a warehouse foreman. He maintained his employment with the furniture company until his retirement in 1986.

LeRoy was a member of Saron Lutheran Church in rural Minot. He especially enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

LeRoy is survived by many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of Life Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Saron Lutheran Church, rural Minot.

Interment: Saron Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Minot.

Visitation: Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials are preferred to Saron Lutheran Church, Minot.
