Leonard Fred Storbeck was born August 17, 1930 to Henry and Alma (Doede) Storbeck in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1947. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1951, honorably serving his country until January of 1955.

Leonard attended ND State School of Science in Wahpeton, earning his electrical training certification. He worked as a journeyman and later completed his certification as a Master Electrician. Leonard was part owner and manager of Main & Holmes Electric until retiring in 1996.

Leonard was united in marriage to Beverly Stadler on June 28, 1959 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Minot, where they made their home. They enjoyed a beautiful life together. Beverly passed away on April 18, 2017.

Leonard was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Minot. He was also a member of the Elk's, Eagles, Square-Dance Club and a 60 year member of the Local Electrical Union #714, all of Minot.
