Lawrence "Larry" Doyle III, 71, Forsyth, Montana, formerly of Minot, died Thursday, December 22, 2016 in a Minneapolis, MN hospital.
Larry was born September 12, 1945 in Minot, the son of Lawrence and Helen (Christianson) Doyle. He was raised and educated in Minot. Prior to his graduation from Bishop Ryan High School, he enlisted with the United States Navy in 1963. He honorably served his country, serving on the USS Burton Island Ice Breaker in the North and South Poles until receiving his honorable discharge in 1966. He then worked as a police officer for the U.S Capitol in Washington DC for three years.
Larry returned to North Dakota and was employed with the Great Northern Railroad as a brakeman, working the Western line to Glasgow, MT, until moving to Forsyth, Montana. He had also worked a short time as an Amtrak Conductor for several years. He was with the railroad for 33 years and had continued to make his home in Forsyth.
In 2004, Larry married the love of his life, Laura Ducharme. They enjoyed traveling, visiting family and friends, along with walking their two dogs.

: his wife, Laura Doyle, Forsyth, MT; children, Jamie L' Heureux of Temecula, Ca., Wally L' Heureux of Sanford, Maine, Nicole Doyle of Kalispell, Mt., Nat Hart ofHouston, Texas, Desiree Hart of Dickenson, ND and Christine Hart of Miles City; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Jon) Schestler, Minot, Pati (Jerry) Herker, Medical Lake, WA,Marvel (Frank) Schaefer, Minot, Phyllis Flannagan, Minot & Lorna Spencer, Minot; two pet companions, Daisy & Wiggy; manynieces, nephews and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Scott Herker
Mass of Christian Burial:
Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation
: Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a Vigil Prayer Service held at 5:00 p.m all in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
