Lawerance E. Larson, 91, Grand Forks, formerly of Minot, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 in a Grand Forks Hospital.

Lawerance was born June 7, 1929 in Rugby, ND to Lars and Vivian (Kathan) Larson. He spent the years of his youth in Knox, ND assisting his family with the operation of the family farm.  He was graduate of the Knox High School class of 1947.

Lawerance was united in marriage to Elizabeth Thomas on June 28, 1950.  They resided in Anamoose, ND while he served as manager of the elevator for 25 years.  They moved to Minot in 1986. Lawerance worked at the Minot Farmer's Elevator until retiring in 1996.  They moved to Grand Forks in 2015 to be closer to family.

Lawerance was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks and a former member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot and St. Xavier Catholic Church, Anamoose.  He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Eagles and Moose Lodge, all of Minot.

He enjoyed traveling, woodworking and doing things with hands, UND football games, and enjoying time with his grandchildren.

Lawerance is survived by his loving wife of nearly 71 years, Elizabeth, Grand Forks; children Leonard (Colleen) Larson, Minneapolis, MN, Marlin (Roxanne) Larson, Stanton, ND, Delwyn Larson, Hankinson, ND and Laurn (Diana) Larson, Grand Forks, ND; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; siblings Oscar Larson, Seattle, WA, and Loretta Abbott, Moiese, MT along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Public Graveside service will be held at a date to be determined at the Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks, MN.
Memorials are preferred to Holy Family Grade School Scholarship Fund
