Obituary

LaVonna Rose Lang, 58, Minot, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in a Minot hospital.

LaVonna was born in Minot, ND, on August 12, 1956 to Clyde and Evelyn (Blowers) Nettleton. She was reared and educated in Lansford, ND and graduated from Lansford High School in 1975. LaVonna moved to Minot where she was employed as a waitress and dishwasher. She was also employed at City Laundry for 13 years.

LaVonna was once married to Steve Lang. From this union came her four children: Todd, Troy, Sandra and Taylor. Most recently, she served as a booking agent for the North Country Express Band.

LaVonna attended First Baptist Church, enjoyed crossword puzzles and bingo and was a caring grandmother to her grandchildren and Clayton's grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Todd Lang (Lisa Frederick - Fiance') and Troy (Amanda) Lang all of Minot, Sandra (Cameron) Hagen of Bismarck and Taylor Lang of Minot; longtime companion: Clayton Skar, Minot; brothers: David (Marilyn) Nettleton, Davenport, IA, Gene (Lori) Nettleton, Minot, and Brent (Anita) Nettleton, Burlington, ND; sister: Linda Motter, Omaha, NE; grandchildren: Payton, Natalya and Jeffery Lang; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

LaVonna was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Debbie Nettleton; and brothers: Gary and Irvin Nettleton.

Funeral Service: Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
