Larry Eugene Holmes , fondly known as "Grumpy," peacefully passed away at the age of 70, in Minot, ND on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Originally from Wiggins, MS, he recently made Minot his home.

Devoted husband for over 30 years, Larry was the beloved spouse to Wanda Whitney Holmes. Together, they created a lifetime of cherished memories and shared experiences.

Known for his unique nickname "Grumpy," Larry brought warmth and character to the lives of those around him. Larry was a Navy veteran, loved computers and gaming, dogs and was a long-haul truck driver. His presence will be deeply missed by family and friends.

In addition to his role as a loving husband, Grumpy was a pillar of strength and support. His impact will be remembered through the love he shared, the wisdom he imparted, and the lasting connections he forged.

Larry is survived by his wife Wanda; children Toni (Tony) Shear and their children: Joel Jenkins, Sarah Jenkins, Joshua Jenkins and Raven Shear; Thomas (Amy) Harvey and their children: Dalton Harvey, Dakota Harvey and Ryan Harvey; Timothy Harvey and his children: LeeAnn Harvey and Timothy Harvey, Jr. and brother Donnie Crone.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother Roberta.

A private service was held.
