Larry Haugen , 71, Minot, passed away Friday October 25, 2019, at home.

Larry A. Haugen was born to Roger and Esther (Newman) Haugen on July 18, 1948 in Minot, ND.  He was raised and educated in Burlington, ND.

Larry was once married to Eileen in June of 1969, in Minot, where they made their home.  This union was blessed with three children, Troy, Mike and Michelle.

It was in Minot where he met Shirley, whom he spent the rest of his life.  Larry loved everything about classic cars and was gifted in restoring them.  That love, partnered with hard work and dedication eventually lead him to owning and operating his own shop. A lover of classic rock, he also spent many a happy hour tinkering with his own model cars.  Larry will be deeply missed by all who shared in his life.

Larry is survived by his companion Shirley; children Mike (Joanna) and Michelle; grandchildren, Ellie, Troy, Kiley, Adam, Roman, Tim; sisters, Sheri (Mike) and Margaret (Galen) along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; son Troy and brother Lyle.

A memorial service will be hosted by family at a later date in coordination with a graveside service in 2020.
Family and friends are invited to sign a memorial register book on Monday, November 4, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred.
