Ladora Marie Gregory, 83 , Minot, formerly of Lansford, ND, died Thursday, March 24, 2016, in a Minot hospital from complications related to ovarian cancer.

Ladora was born on October 8, 1932, in Ventura, CA to Dewey and Ernestine (Ormsby) Baker. She was raised and educated in Ventura and Lenox, CA where she moved when she was a fifth grader. Ladora graduated from Inglewood High School with the class of 1950. She continued her education journey at El Camino College in Gardena, CA followed by two years at Long Beach State College.

Ladora was united in marriage to Dale Gregory on July 7, 1953, in Honolulu, Hawaii. They made their home in Honolulu where she attended the University of Hawaii and her husband served in the U.S. Navy. The family moved to Gardena, CA in 1954 and to Lancaster, CA in 1965. Ladora was employed as a bank teller in both cities until she retired in 1987. Ladora and Dale moved to Lansford in 2001. Dale died on August 9, 2013. Ladora moved to Minot in February 2014.

Throughout the years, she was an active member of the community where she resided. Locally, she was an active member of Trinity United Church, its WELCA group and the Senior Citizens organization, all in Lansford. She dedicated her time and talent while in Lancaster to the PTA, serving as President and the 34th District Treasurer. She was also active in Boys and Girls Scouting and Pathfinders groups during her years in California. Also, she was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed stamp collecting, cross stitching, painting, reading and traveling.

Her surviving family includes her children, Dale Jr. (Nancy) Gregory, Niles, Michigan; Dona (Robert) Kosel, Lansford and Kendra (Javier) Morales of McKinleyville, CA; grandchildren, Kristen (Travis) Lehmann, Souris; Elizabeth Kosel-Tilton and William Tilton, Surrey; Maria Morales and Fianc Scott Christ, McKinleyville, CA; Virginia Morales and Fianc Will Oliveria, McKinleyville, CA; great grandchildren, Logan and Alexis Lehmann, Souris; Evelyn Kosel and Lilie Tilton, Surrey; considered grandchildren, Joshua and Tiffany Wheeler and considered great-grandchildren children, Autumn and Cora Wheeler, Surrey; brother, George Baker of Hollywood CA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Betty Gregory, Dana Point, CA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ladora was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dale.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Trinity United Church in Lansford.
Interment: Lansford Community Cemetery
Visitation: Tuesday, April 5, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Trinity United Church, the Voice of Prophecy, Trinity Cancer Center, Trinity Radiology Department, or to an organization of the donor's choice.
