Obituary

L. Norman Fimreite , 79, Minot, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Norman was born April 16, 1941 at Minot, North Dakota the son of Oscar and Leona (Larson) Fimreite. He was raised in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1960. He was employed with Porter Brothers Metal and Recycling business until he was injured in a work-related accident at the age of 22.

Norman was cared for by his parents after the accident and then entered Trinity Nursing Home, where he had lived for the past 32 years.

Norman was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot and enjoyed playing cards and watching Days of Our Lives.

He is survived by: his sisters, Judy Jorgensen and Sheron Kupser, both of Minot; along with several nieces and nephews including: Kathy Younker, Karla McDonald, Kristi Kupser, Konnie Hardy, Carrie Sessing, Kevin Jorgensen, Lisa Jorgensen, Richie Buettner, Mike Buettner and LeAnn Buettner

Norman was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, LaVerne and a sister, Jackie Buettner.

Funeral Service: A private family service (observing current Covid restrictions) will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in St Paul's Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Norwich Cemetery, Norwich.
Visitation: A public viewing will take place on Friday May 1, 2020 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
