August 6, 1963 – February 1, 2020
Kyle Rittgers Hauge, 56, Minot died on Saturday, February 1, 2020 in her home following a 17-month battle with Breast and Bone Cancer. Her family was at her side and Trinity Hospice assisted them.
Kyle Jean Rittgers was born on August 6, 1963 in Minot to Lyle Golly and Verna Rittgers. She was raised in Minot, attended Minot Public Schools and Minot State University. Kyle was once married to Daryl Gerard, John Hollarn and Bryce Hauge. Throughout the years Kyle was employed by the Minot Area Homeless Program, as a social worker for Rehab Services and at the Third Avenue Housing Shelter and was co-owner and administrative assistant for Crane Creek Oil.
Kyle especially enjoyed crafts, card-making, scrap-booking as well as eating out, movies, pedicures, massages and having her nails done. Also, she enjoyed traveling, driving, water aerobics and listening to Cher. Her favorite fictional character was Cinderella. However, her number one passion was her children, grandchildren and family especially the two grandchildren, Douglas and Steven, that she raised.
Kyle's loving family includes her children: Douglas Gerard Sr. and Sarah (Chris) Fast all of Minot; grandchildren: Douglas Gerard II, Steven Tyler Gerard, Kendall Gerard, Levi Gerard, Lincoln Fast, Marija Pobric, Maja Pobric and one on the way; brothers: Floyd "Bill" Rittgers of Everett WA and Robert Rittgers of Las Vegas; sister: Gwen Graham of Fargo; half sister: Shirley Golly of Minot and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kyle was preceded in death by her mother Verna Rittgers, step-father Dave Hammer, father Lyle Golly and grandparents: Lydia and Ted Bechtold.
Celebration of the Life of Kyle Jean Rittgers Hauge: Friday, February 7, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in Cornerstone Presbyterian Church - Minot.
Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
Visitation: Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Memorials are preferred to the Minot Area Homeless Coalition or Souris Valley Animal Shelter.
