Kristi Reiter, 50, Burlington and formerly of Fargo and Bismarck died on Friday, October 18, 2019 in a Minot hospital with her loving family at her side. She had fought a courageous battle against cancer.

Kristi Jean was born on December 11, 1968 in Valley City to Jeanne Trostad. She was raised and educated in Cooperstown, Fargo and Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1987. She continued her education at the North Dakota State School of Science where she received specialized training in graphic arts.

Kristi married Dean Reiter on April 22, 1991 in Fargo. They made their home in Minot where she worked in retail sales most recently at Christopher and Banks, Sears and Minot Laundry. She and her husband had moved to Burlington in 1992.

Kristi was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and Ham Radio Operators organizations. She especially enjoyed reading especially fiction and Sci-Fi and writing in her journals.

Kristi's loving family includes her husband of 28 years Dean; mother: Jeanne Richardson of Bismarck; brother: Dwight Richardson of Bismarck; in-laws: Curtis Reiter of Dickinson Charlotte (Roger) Barnes of Commerce City, CO; niece: Nicole (Justin) Noll of Thornton, CO; nephew: James Reiter of Aurora, CO and great nephew: Bode Noll.

Kristi was preceded in death by her in-laws: William and Joyce Reiter and grandparents: Nina and Roy Trostad and brother-in-law: Brian Reiter.

Service: November 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Interment will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery - rural Mandan at a later date.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
