Kolten Robert Opperude, Nine month old son of Sarah Billing and Lance Opperude, Velva, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, in his home.
Kolten was born May 18, 2012, at Trinity Hospital in Minot, to Sarah Billing and Lance Opperude.
Our little man was often the stealer of our hearts. His bright eyes and smile, unforgettable faces and deep belly laughs will forever be with us. God's plans for you were simply too big for this place. We will hold you in our hearts until we hold you in our arms in Heaven.

Kolten's loving family includes his parents, Sarah and Lance, Velva; maternal grandparents, Russ and Tracy Billing, Minot; paternal grandparents, June (Dwayne Marsh) Weidman, Butte, ND and Leonard (Lisa) Opperude, Florida; maternal great-grandparents, Carl and Vivian Billing, Minot; sisters, Megan, Natalee and Kelsea Opperude, Minot; aunts, Brenda (Kevin) Fleck, Bismarck and Stephanie (Jordan) Torgerson, Bismarck; niece, Leslee Gustafson, Minot and many cousins.
Kolten was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Shirley and Elmer Skar and paternal great-grandparents, Robert and Lois Bley.
A Celebration of Kolten's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at First Lutheran Church, Minot, ND.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND
Visitation: Friday, March 1, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
