Kingston Jones, 5 month old son of Alex Barton and Aleah Jones, Minot, died Monday, January 4, 2016, in a Minot hospital.
Kingston was born July 27, 2015, in Minot, ND to Aleah Jones and Alex Barton.
Although Kingston\'s time with us was short, he touched us in so many ways that we will never forget. His smile was one that could light up any room. His giggle was something that could brighten anyone\'s day. He loved nothing more than spending time with family. Kingston was a curious little boy, who was constantly looking around trying to see everything he could. He absolutely loved watching his big brother Billy play. He would watch him run and play for hours. Kingston was becoming a little boy of many words. He would sit and "talk" back and forth with almost anyone. Even in the morning he would wake up and just talk and talk until someone would come and get him. He also had the most wonderful smile after he woke up from a good night's sleep or a long nap. Kingston also loved the water, he very much enjoyed taking a shower with his Daddy. The best memories also come from his end of the day baths with Mommy.
Kingston had many family members which he loved to be around. He would often spend his days with Auntie Helen while Mommy and Daddy worked. The smiles and memories he had with her will forever remain unforgettable. Some of our favorite memories of Kingston are how he was one of the few that loved Ema\'s singing especially when she sang the Happy song. For Halloween, Kingston was the cutest ninja turtle ever. He tried mashed potatoes and sat in a high chair for the first time on Thanksgiving. Christmas was a very special time for us, we all had matching jammies. Kingston loved the wrapping paper, he fell asleep during the gift opening. When Papa Jones had days off, he would spend time with him, they would always take naps together in Papa\'s special chair. On the weekends when Papa was home, Kingston would spend the night with Grammy and Papa. He was the best to snuggle with and listen to his little snore.
Even though there are many things he will not be able to experience, we will forever have his amazing smile, beautiful brown eyes and unforgettable laugh in our hearts. Kingston is the true light in life that we will always be able to see, forever and always in our hearts.
Although he only was only five months old, Kingston has touched many lives through the gift of donation for other little ones in need. This gift will allow the memories to be made in other families for years to come.
Kingston's loving family includes his parents, Alex and Aleah, Minot; brother, William Barton; maternal grandparents, Victoria and Reginald Jones, Minot; paternal grandparents, Sammy and Tammy Castillo, Minot; great-grandparents, Allison and Paul Ulin, Minot and Deborah Barton, Minot; Martha Roberts, Albuquerque, NM and aunts, Bonnie Barton, Dorothy Almon, and Mya and Jayda Jones, numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kingston was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Charles Jones.
