Kermit Richard Ward, 70, Kenmare, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 in a Kenmare Hospital.

Kermit was born October 6, 1946 at Kenmare, the son of Robert and Hazel (Falter) Ward. He was raised and educated at Kenmare attending Kenmare High School.

He moved to the Minneapolis area, where he attended Dunwoody Technical School and received his Welding Certification. Throughout the years, he was employed as a welder primarily with Boiler companies in Minnesota. He returned to Kenmare to assist with the care of his ailing mother.

Kermit enjoyed motor sports and outdoor activities. He was an avid bird hunter and enjoyed shooting clay pigeons.

Kermit is survived by: his son, Donavan Ward, Watertown, MN; daughter, Rachel Wyttenback, Watertown, MN; grandchildren, Ryan, Lacie and Keelie.

Kermit is preceded in death by his parents, sister, June and 2 brothers, Richard and Gerald.

A Private Family Viewing and Gathering was held at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
