Kenneth Malchose , 76, formerly of Minot, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in a New Rockford nursing home.

Kenneth was born on June 23, 1942 in Fargo, ND to Kenneth Sr. and Myrtle C. (Lee) Malchose.  He was raised in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1960.

He spent his early working years as a newspaper delivery boy.  As a young adult he was employed at South Hill Red Owl and Rugby Red Owl Grocery Stores.  Kenneth was once married to Susan Mears. He worked for Jacobson Construction for many years specializing in grain elevator construction throughout North Dakota.

Kenneth married Rosemarie "Rose" Piatz Vedquam on October 23, 1983. They made their home at the Colony Mobile Home Park in Minot for many years. During this time period Ken worked at Farmers Union Elevator and Flexi-Coil until he retired.

Rosemarie died on February 7, 2007. Kenneth became a resident of the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in 2013.

Kenneth is survived by his children: Todd, Donald, Kelly, Scott, Cristie, Heather, Sue Lynn (deceased) and their families; brothers: Robert, Ronald, Kevin, Keith, Kerry and their families; in-laws: Joan, John, Larry, David and their families along with aunts, Lois and Nina Lee; and numerous cousins.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Clarence Riffey, wife, Rosemarie, daughter, Sue Lynn and in laws, Johnny and Marie Piatz.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment: Union Cemetery, Towner, ND – Spring of 2019
Visitation: Thursday, January 31, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
