Kenneth Erb, 79, Minot, died Friday, August 15, 2008, in a Minot nursing home.
Kenneth was born December 17, 1928, in Ryder, ND to Clifford and Eline (Stene) Erb. He was raised and educated in Ryder.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force in the late 1940's serving his country until his honorable discharge in 1950.
He was united in marriage to Adeline M. Johnson on March 16, 1956, in Williston. They resided in Williston, while Kenneth was employed as a engineer by Great Northern Railroad. In 1961, they moved to Minot, where he continued his employment with the railroad, later joining Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement in 1989.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Minot and the United Transportation Union.
His hobbies included gardening and woodworking. He will be deeply missed by all who shared in his life.
Surviving family includes: Loving wife of 52 years Adeline, Minot; Daughters: Debora Calavera, Bismarck and Kathy Erb, Minot; Son: Scott (Gerilyn) Erb, Minot; Grandchildren: Jami, Jessica, Robert, Michael, Jeffrey, Kendrick, and Margaret; Great-Grandchildren: Ethan, Brynn, Aiden, Annabelle, and Cordelia; Brother: James (Yvonne) Erb, Bismarck, ND; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, and grandson, Michael Watson.
Funeral:
A private service will be held at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation:
Monday, August 18, 2008, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home of Minot.
