Obituary

Kenneth John Lee , 54, of Minot, North Dakota died unexpectedly at his Minot residence on Sunday, May 6, 2018.

Kenneth was born December 11, 1963 at Minot, ND the son of Robert and Rosemary (Mattern) Lee. He was raised in Minot and graduated from Bishop Ryan High School in 1982. Ken was awarded Eagle Scout honors with Troop 425 in Minot. The Lee family was dedicated to the good works of Boys Scouts of America for many years. Ken attended Minot State College for two years, then entered the North Dakota National Guards In 1997 Kenneth moved to Seattle , Washington where he learned the trade as a bricklayer. He worked there for a time, then returned to Minot, where he was able to work with his father, Robert, for Holm Construction and Jost Construction of Burlington, ND for nearly ten years.

Ken was currently working at the Market Place Foods liquor store on North Hill and was the assist manager. He was awarded the Eagle Award by the Minot Chamber of Commerce, an award that recognized his great customer service.

Ken loved to spend time with his family and friends throwing darts, curling and playing cards, especially Pinochle.

Ken is survived by one brother, Kirk Lee, of Bismarck, ND, several nieces and nephews; Nathan, Madison, Carson and Jaxon Lee, Jessica Taylor, Cole and Jalynn Vollmer and cousins.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his Parents, and one brother, Keith Lee.

Celebration of Life service : Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Minot.
Interment : Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation: Sunday, May 13th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family prefers memorials be given to Bishop Ryan wrestling program.
