Obituary

Kaye Rudser, 74, Minot, died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at her home after a lengthy illness.

Kaye was born May 27, 1940 at Forman, North Dakota, the daughter of Lawrence and Catherine (Klinkhammer) Brakke. She was raised and educated at Forman and graduated from Forman High School in 1958. She graduated from Mayville State College and taught at West Fargo for two years.

Kaye was united in marriage to Ronald Rudser on June 1, 1963 at West Fargo. They made their home in the Minneapolis area for several years. They moved to Minot in 1973, where along with raising their four children, she was employed as a librarian with Minot Public Schools from 1978-2008.

Kaye was a longtime member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot, served on the Little Flower Church Council and taught CCD classes. She was also a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, North Dakota Library Association, South Valley Library Association, Lincoln Elementary School PTA and Minot Swim Club from 1974-1990.

Kaye enjoyed doing word searches and puzzles, reading, gardening, baking and doing embroidery.

Her loving family includes , children, Michelyn (Jack) Baker, Northfield, MN, Timothy (Tara) Rudser, St. Stephen, MN, Paula (Mike) Stolba, Minot, Andrea (Mike) Rusin, Chicago, IL; 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; brothers, Bruce (Ardith) Brakke, Ames, IA, Alan (Donna) Brakke, Northfield, MN, sister, Nora (Mike) Lehti, Minneapolis, MN; special family friend, Kirk Carmody, Williston, ND; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ron.

Mass of Christian Burial : Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
Visitation: Friday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service and Recitation of the Rosary: Friday, July 18, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
At her request, Kaye's body will be gifted to the University of North Dakota Deeded Body Program.
