Kaye Bergo,
71, Minot died on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in a Minot nursing home following a long battle with cancer.
Kaye was born on June 27, 1940 in Minot, ND to Fred and Edna (Berry) Keiser. She was raised and educated in Berthold, graduating from Berthold High School. Kaye was once married to Jerry Harris and they made their home in Minot, where they were the proud parents of three daughters: Tammy, Toni and Debbie. Kaye married Jim Bergo on September 18, 1982. They made their home in Minot. She was employed in the office at Fiance, a bridal store owned by her youngest daughter Debbie, for more than 20 years.
She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and grandmother. She was a loyal friend and enjoyed keeping up with her large circle of friends. She also enjoyed taking trips with their motor home and spent several winters in Texas and Arizona. Kaye had a special love for music and enjoyed playing the piano, organ and singing with the "North Forty", a fun-loving women\'s vocal quartet.
Kaye\'s loving family includes her husband James Bergo; children: Tammy (Casey) Tompkins of Norwich, Toni (Kim) Cady of Minot and Debbie Harris (Companion Kevin Overland) of Minot; grandchildren: Travis Cady, Mesa, Arizona, Marisa Cady, Minot and McKinzey Whitty, Bismarck; Mother: Edna Cairns of Minot; brother: Fred Jr. (Etoile) Keiser of Minot; step-children: David (Gale) Bergo, Paul Bergo, Kim (Doug) Tande, and Nancy O\'Shea; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Keiser Sr.
Funeral service:
Monday, October 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment:
Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation:
Sunday from noon - 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
In lieu of flowers and plants the family prefers memorials to the Trinity Hospice or Minot Area Flood Recovery Fund c/o Minot Area Community Foundation.
