Kathryn Ann "Kathy" Brack, 61, Westhope, ND, formerly of Little Falls, MN and St. Paul, MN passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2011 in a Minot, ND hospital from complications associated with open heart surgery.

Kathy was born on October 28, 1949 in St. Paul, MN to Wesley and Joyce (Lundgren) Fry. She was raised in St. Paul and graduated from St. Paul Park High School in 1967. As a young adult, she was employed as a secretary for the Superintendent of the Driver's License Division of the MN DMV in St. Paul.

Kathy married Thomas D. Brack on August 20, 1971 in St. Paul. They made their home in Turkey, Japan, Texas, and North Carolina where Tom was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. Following his retirement, they moved to Little Falls, MN where Kathy worked as a teacher's aide and secretary at Royalton High School. After living in Little Falls for fifteen years they moved to Westhope, ND in 2004 so they could be closer to their sons. While living in Westhope Kathy worked as a medical transcriptionist.

Kathy especially enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, reading, and crossword puzzles.

Kathy's loving family includes her husband of almost 40 years, Thomas D. Brack; sons: Thomas M. (Amy) Brack of Rapid City and Terrence M. (Heather) Brack of Minot; grandchildren: Amber Fox, Ashley and Adam Bowman, Sean Brack, Tyler and Ethan Arnold; mother: Joyce Young of St. Paul; siblings: Steve, John, and Kevin Fry, and Karen Boman all of St. Paul, and Shelley Reiter of Bloomington, MN.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father.
